You’re Not Lost — You’re Coming Home to Yourself

Why feeling stuck might be the first sign you’re waking back up

You know that feeling when life looks “fine” on the outside — but inside, something feels… off?

Not terrible.
Not falling apart.
Just… flat. Disconnected. Like you’re going through the motions.

If you’re nodding your head, you’re not alone.
And more importantly: you’re not lost — you’re in a quiet process of coming back to yourself.

You Haven’t Disappeared — You’re Just Numb (for a reason)

Let’s start here:
You didn’t choose numbness.
Your body did — to protect you.

For many women I work with, emotional numbness isn’t a character flaw.
It’s a survival strategy — one they’ve carried quietly through years of being the strong one, the reliable one, the everything-for-everyone-else one.

If no one ever taught you how to safely feel hard emotions – let’s face it, they don’t teach this in school…
If you had to keep going when you were hurting…
Then of course your system found a way to turn the volume down.

Numbness is never a weakness.
It is intelligence protecting you or quietly sending you a message.

But now, something in you is ready for more.

The First Signs That You’re Coming Back Online

Most women don’t realize this, but the moment you start to feel frustrated by the numbness — the “blah,” the disconnect, the emotional fog — it’s actually a sign that something deeper is stirring.

You’re not settling for surviving anymore.
You’re craving real feeling again — not just the hard emotions, but the good ones too:

  • Peace
  • Joy
  • Contentment
  • Lightness
  • Play

These aren’t just buzzwords — they’re emotional states your body can access again.
But first, you have to learn how to hear what it’s been trying to say all along.

What Sensations and Flashbacks Might Be Trying to Tell You

Here’s something else no one tells you:

Sensations and emotional flashbacks aren’t “problems” to fix — they’re messages to understand.

That tight chest before a meeting?
That urge to shut down during conflict?
That sudden wave of sadness when nothing “bad” happened?

They’re not random.
They’re breadcrumbs — leading you back to a deeper awareness of what’s actually going on inside.

When you learn how to notice them without judgment, you gain access to something powerful:

  • Inner clarity
  • Emotional agency
  • A felt sense of safety inside your own experience

That’s the turning point.
That’s where numbness starts to thaw.

You Don’t Have to Dig – Just Listen

You don’t have to relive old stories or diagnose yourself to begin this work.
You just have to start noticing — gently.

This is what I help women do in coaching:

  • Tune into body signals
  • Create space for what’s been buried
  • Learn to listen for what’s needed, not what’s wrong

Over time, that low-grade hum of disconnection fades.
And in its place?
Moments of calm.
Bursts of laughter.
The return of real, grounded peace — not because everything is perfect, but because you’re present for it.

You Are Not Behind. You’re Just Reconnecting.

If you’ve felt stuck or numb for a long time, you might think you’ve missed your window.
You haven’t.

This is the work.
And the fact that you’re even reading this tells me: you’re already in motion.
The thaw is happening.

You are not lost.
You are not too far gone.
You’re just coming home — one feeling at a time.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

This kind of inner work doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
It can be slow. Gentle. Even beautiful.

If something inside you is stirring — even if you can’t explain it — I invite you to stay close.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to stay curious.

That’s the beginning of everything.
